Brian C. Hemesath is a New York City based costume designer.
Brian is the costume designer for HBO’s “Sesame Street”. For his work on the street, Brian has received 2 Emmy awards and 5 nominations. Previously, Brian was one of the costume designers for NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” (credits include 100 “digital shorts” for the Lonely Island boys with memorable favorites “Dick in a Box,” “Motherlover,” “The Golden Rule,” “Threw it on the Ground,” “Boombox,” “Like a Boss,” Laser Cats,” and many more).
Brian made his Broadway debut with Honeymoon in Vegas. It opened to critical acclaim. Off-Broadway work includes: Disaster! The Musical and Unbroken Circle. Regional shows include: Boeing-Boeing, Smokey Joe’s Café, High School Musical, and Hairspray at Paper Mill Playhouse. World premiere of The Rivals opera at Skylight Opera House as well as Iolanthe, Chicago, Triumph of Love, Don Pasquale, and others.
He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University (MFA 1997) and St. Ambrose University (BA 1994).
Brian lives in New York with his husband Drew Krake.
