Brian C. Hemesath is a New York City based costume designer for Film, Television and Theatre. 

Brian is the costume designer for HBO’s “Sesame Street”. For his work on the street, Brian has received 3 Emmy awards and 7 nominations. He was the associate designer for the Loinsgate films “John Wick 2” and John Wick 3, Parabellum”and the first assistant for the upcoming Spielberg remake of “West Side Story”. Brian also designed for NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” film unit for 8 years (credits include 100 “digital shorts” for the Lonely Island boys with memorable favorites “Dick in a Box,” “Motherlover,” “The Golden Rule,” “Boombox,” “Like a Boss,” Laser Cats,” and many more).

Broadway: Honeymoon in Vegas.  Off-Broadway work includes: Curvy Widow, Disaster! The Musical and Unbroken Circle. Regional shows include: Conscience (World premiere), The Trial of Donna Caine at George Street Playhouse. Boeing-Boeing, Smokey Joe’s Café, Pump Boys and Dinettes, and Hairspray at Paper Mill Playhouse. Guys and Dolls at The Old Globe. Evita and Guys and Dolls at there Asolo Theatre. World premiere of The Rivals opera at Skylight Opera House as well as many others.

He is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University (MFA 1997) and St. Ambrose University (BA 1994).

Brian lives in New York with his husband Drew Krake.
